last minute signing last night...
I don't know how many of you live in or drive in rural areas. I didn't realize how good I had it while driving out on those summer nights around mountains and thru hills, farms, one lane dirt roads, etc. I for one am done with winter, I'm looking forward to the day's light getting longer and taking a few miles off my orbiting in the dark! Isn't nice when it's still light out at 8-8:30 pm? I'm thinking I need a lay down in one of those suntan beds, I am white as a sheet

Here we have "fire numbers" for address's in the rural area. Every home in the country has a mandated steel fence post with the fire number on a red sign so emergency services can find them. This makes it easier for me to find them as well! I have a harder time in towns...not all homes have their numbers on them! And then they forget to leave the outside lights on! Also a lot of country places have yard lights that automatically come on when the sun goes down. The cul d' sac I live on does not even have street lights but thats a trade off for living by a lake!

I was just thinking about heading to the tanning salon! It was 75 here yesterday and is supposed to be 80 today so I got out my shorts, didn't realize how white I'd gotten! I love my rural signings, however, actually finding the house can be a nightmare! Although I did have one here in town that I spent 20 minutes looking for the house, finally , since it was on the corner I decided to look at the address of the house facing the other street, numbers were right for the address I was looking for, just wrong street, I knocked on the door and it was the right house, they said that happened all the time, it was weird! I have decided that whoever designed the streets and addresses for Pueblo and Pueblo West, had to have been on a 3 week drunk when they drew up the plans! LOL!

haha...here we have 'county road #'s, then you turn down that highway (one lane) if you even see the sign on the road! The houses are set back and nobody feels they need an address in front of the property or mailbox, I've driven up driveways squinting, searching, hoping for a number on the house!

I've gone to the wrong house many a time. They implemented the 911 emergency address numbers two years ago, but some people don't have their numbers up yet, some people put the number on the house which you can hardly see the house, let alone the number from the road and some people are nice enough to put them on their mailbox which has 6 other mailboxes beside them and the houses are across the road(sometimes down another road)....Take your pick as to which one goes to which mailbox...haha! But there are also some that make it clear which number goes to which house.

I can relate...oh boy can I. I live in NE PA and this time of year with the way our roads our especially when it is snowing and dark....no street lights for miles. I definitely don't mind doing closing in the summer months. Good to get out and drive and see the countryside and the beautiful mountainscapes. I tend to drive a little further too. I don't cover certain counties this time of the because of the cold and the weather.
