loan signing fees

Are there any agencies that pay right away? Or do they ALL pay ONLY on the 15th and the 30th? I'm a new signing agent, and I'm interested in making some money right away.

Is there anyone in the business that has HELPFUL ADVICE for someone new asking about FEE DATES?

I'll give it a shot...

MOST signing companies are on 30 day pay from the funding date. Some go as high as 60, some 45. 'Course you'll try to stay away from the last two. Some state that IF your paperwork is complete and in from the 1st - 15th, they'll pay on the 30th, etc. Best way for you to handle things is to ask the signing company what their pay schedule is. If you actually fill out paperwork (contractors agreement etc) with the signing company it should have their schedule laid out pretty simply. Whether you work directly for the lender, for the Title Company or the dreaded middle man (signing company) they each have their own pay policy so it's best to get in the habit of asking when you contract the assignment. Unfortunately there isn't many that pay us as quickly as we would prefer. For me it took about 4 months to get the revenue flowing in a steady stream. You'll need capital to fall back on until you build your client list and get yourself used to the dreaded 30 day wonders. Hope this helps

Do a search on fees and you'll find many, many answers to these and other questions.

My average # of days to get paid for 2005

was 26.4. Of course, SOX skewed that data by taking 119 days to pay.

My quickest was 7 days. However, that was only a one time deal.

Re: My average # of days to get paid for 2005

Basically what we were all saying "Have Piggy Bank Money Set aside" until you're doing this for a few years.
It takes TIME to build a client base you can count on. TC/ESCROW companies pay asap-most others' pay 14 to 30 days or as Carolyn said 60 to 90 days (you want to WEED them out!) not worth chasing every time you do a job for them. Save your appointment times for your loyal clients that you have NO problems with they are well worth it.

For quicker money....

you can also market yourself locally for "General" notarizations. It may not pay as much as loan packages, but that money adds up and you get paid right then and there. Just food for thought.

Well you should appreciate ANY advice that you get on this board. Your complete lack of graciousness in this thread has already made me have no interest in helping you. Looks like you're just another greedy sucker who bought into the get rich quick scheme.

Yes, another newbie with an attitude

Makes you wanna just drop everything to help them, eh? What ever happened to humility? It never ceases to amaze me, ask for help then get a 'tude when the answer isn't to your liking. Here's some GOOD advice Lor, don't quit your day job. You won't go far with that winning personality of yours.
