mobile notary

i have been a notary for the past 5 + years. i am looking to be a signing agent for closing all types of loans. i have 20 + years banking and loan experience. i would like to do this on my own time. i am currently looking for employment, so this would be ideal for me to be able to use my notary skills. i am willing to travel to offices, homes, etc. or documents could be sent to my home overnight so i may notarize. please contact me to let me know how i can get started. i live in north wales. pennsylvania, which is a suburb outside of philadelphia. the county is montgomery. i am willing to travel 20 miles outside my jurisdiction for this service, further if necessary. please reply. thank you.

Susan, The members that post on this board are hard working professionals who have all spent a great deal of time and effort to learn the signing business. There is a wealth of information, some free, most not, and each and every Agent here has spent countless hours doing research on their field of expertise. They have also invested a lot of money into their professions. My suggestion to you is to do your research as well. There are countless posts here for people wanting to get into the business and you can research them by clicking on the yellow search button and typing in the words, "getting started", "newbies", etc... There are also tons of information on training available on the internet. Type in Mobile notary or Notary Signing agent and you will have weeks worth of reading material. Most of the others here in this forum can offer better starting points than I but this is how I began. Best wishes to you as you embark on your new venture.

A good way to learn about the business is to go back about six months on this forum and read all the posts forward. I also suggest becoming certified as a Signing Agent and a good place for that is The Signing Agent.

One of the toughest decisions I had to make was deciding which training method to follow to become a Signing Agent.

There are very many training programs available. Some of them are live, some are offered online, and some are available as training manuals.

If you want to learn every aspect of the signing agent profession, I would recommend The Signing Registry Training Guide, by Kathy Poston. This manual came highly recommended by many of the people on this board, and when I received mine I could see why.

If you want to read a review of it, see post #96225. Here is a link to it:

http://www.notaryrotary.com/forums/forumsbody.asp?id=LN7I1UG&forumid=1AAA00000003&messageid=1AAA00148053&action=view&rid=&replytonbr=&replytoid=&subject=&format=threaded

If you would like to order it, go to:

http://www.signingregistry.com/?pageid=3494

But don't take my word for it alone. Do a search on this site for "Signing Registry" and you will find nothing but positive comments about, not only the training guide, but everything that The Signing Registry has to offer. It's more than just a manual. And it's more than just a website. It's the key that unlocks the door to becoming a well-trained professional Signing Agent.

Good luck.

"I think your fingers had a dyslexic moment."

I was way off. It's a good thing I added a link. She would have never found it. That wasn't a dyslexic moment. That was borderline Alzheimer's.

Links don't work ...

You can't provide a link to a message since it contains your encrypted session information. It will work for you, but for no one else. That's why it's important to provide the message number. Then a quick search (orange button) will take one directly to the message in question.
