newbie question

Hello Everyone:
First I just recently got the NNA NSA certified designation, I am new to this signing agent career, now real estate is not new to me I have been an office manager in RE Office for 5yrs. and decided to try this, I am still working full time, anyway, there aren't any agents near me to ask to mentor or to train under, so does anyone have a good suggestion of training? I know NNA has a training, and I saw the one on ebay but I wanted to know what you all think is the best training without having someone physically training me. is there really a good traing dvd, or cd?
I do appreciate any and all advice, & suggestions

Thanks
Lynn

The NNA training is a complete waste of money, as has been noted by any experienced NSA. So unfortunately for you, you threw some money in a hole. But thats okay, you can still recover.

Check out the Signing Registry Manual, it is by far and away the best training manual currently out there.

Not really a "complete waste of money". You will now be priority listed in the NSA datebase, and as such, will receive calls and emails from companies. The calls will be for immediate jobs, and emails from companies recruiting certified signing agents. As least, that has been my experience. Order the Signing Registry Training Manual, and you will learn much from that!
Good luck to you...!

Say what, Brenda?

I've received a total of 2, yes that's 2 calls, in the past year from the NNA's NSA database. Darn good thing I didn't pay for my membership because, IMO it would not be worth it and I would be demanding a refund.

Re: Say what, Brenda?

Hey Becca, sorry about that. As I was working a part-time for another company and didn't really want to do too much marketing, I relied on Notary Rotary and NSA. I have been full-time SA for a while now, and much of the work that I receive is from NSA and Notary Rotary. Mostly NSA.

Re: Say what, Brenda?

I have never signed up with anything other than NSA being new about 6 months ago and have been kept very busy with the calls I receive exclusively from them. Thank you NSA.

http://www.SigningRegistry.info is the Information Portal Page for the SR.

Big gold button will take you to the main website. Blue button will take to you to the members only message forums. There are other links on the page as well.

Best place to start is right on this board

Lynn, first read the entire thread starting with message #33325 (go to search at bottom of page). Then just start reading this entire board (you can skip all the OT) and you will learn more than you can from all of the training manuals (AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT!) You will quickly learn who to really listen to and who to pretty much ignore. I sure wish when I'd started that there would have been a board like this. I stumbled upon JJ's board a number of years ago (now defunct) and from that found this board. WOW, so much easier that trying to learn it all on your own by trial and error! Good luck
