question on transunion

They called me about an hour ago to do a signing and said they were emailing the confirmation right away. I never did get the confirmation and when I call the main number from caller id , the receptionst said she wouldn't know who called me and doesn't have a way to look it up. Any ideas??

I gotta agree with Charm. No confirmation, no signing.

So, you signed up to do $46 closings? and PAY them $40 to prove you are not a criminal? AND gave them a copy of your driver license, and SS number? You are indeed a trusting sole...apparently in need of work? Good Luck!

Les: I do Transunion closings. I told them 2 years ago I DID NOT want to have a "background" check because I wasn't going to pay the $40.00 for it. They said "fine, we will note that in your file". They meet my fees (and it is alot more that $46.00) I usually have near by assignments. And, at least they do pay. Might not be $300. but I'll take all they want to give me.

Dittos Here!

I receive more than $46.00 from Trans Union as well, although I have to keep the appts close in order to justify what I do get. Every once in a blue moon they'll spring for more than my base fee on a distant signing if they can't find anyone else. I like the fact they pay in a timely fashion & direct deposit the money into my credit union business account. Unlike you, Tess, (& this isn't a criticism!) I allowed them to do a background check & deduct $40.00 from one of my signings several years ago.

Closed one 10 days ago. Already Cashed Check and it was more than $46.00.
I have done work for them for a long time. THE ARE GREAT.

Okay Guys!
Thanks for the info. I was contacted by TransUnion, but when I read their application and it said $46 "standard fee" I didn't bother. I have had a "criminal check" done (on me) by another company, however they paid for it. Perhaps I will reconsider........
