What happens when a company calls and wants to give you a flat figure. Less then your amount on screen?

Dawn...these are decisions that we make on the spot. There are a lot of variables, you may not have anything else going and it could be close, o.n. docs, HELOC, etc....

The only thing I don't budge on is the traveling time/fee.

You have to make snap decisions while negotiating. I just did that in accepting a signing tonite, I didn't charge my regular $125., instead accepted $115. for a last minute e-doc for a company I do a lot of work for, I'm interested in maintaining that relationship. You'll learn as you go who will work with you with your fees and who won't budge off a $50. signing.
