Base Fee

Was on a certain title co. site, entering an online application, and it asked for a base fee. What do you all think is reasonable? i stuck on 150., and am hoping i didnt put too high of a fee that they dont call.

THen again, if they pay less then that, it might not be worth it...

Might be high if you have little experience. And it depends on what the going rate is in your area. Does your signature mean you are in Massachusetts?

In Michigan, I would be happy with $150 from a TC for a refi with edocs and I've been doing this for 2 and 1/2 years.

I have found that many SS only want to pay $75 for a single loan, plus $25 for edocs. TC's might offer $100-125 for a refi with $25 for edocs. Second loan maybe $35-40, although veterans on this site say charge half the cost of the first. Then you might have an additional smaller fee for the extra edocs...$10-15.

If you don't have much experience you might want to quote a bit lower to at least get a phone call. You can always ask "what are you authorized to pay?" and negotiate from there.

Good luck Brian.
