I seldom look at the NR listings and when I did I found it out of date, incomplete and inaccurate. But that's just my opinion, I'm sure others who are NR fans, will praise it to the skies.

I assume (there's that word) that you mean ratings for payment purposes. I made my own rating chart. I spent a lot of time on the different boards collecting information on who pays and who doesn't and who seems to have the difficult, problem prone signings and made two lists. List one was companies I absolutely won't work for because of all the negative feedback on the various boards. Now if they were just mentioned a couple of times negatively on the boards, I work for them to see for myself as the negative comments could just be somebody with an axe to grind. The other list is companies that perhaps I should charge a little more as they seem to have more problems in their signings. It took some time to collect, but I am pushing tword the 600 signing mark without being stiffed once, although I have gone to small claims once and written a few demand for payment letters for accounts over 60 days past due. The going to court and collecting thing you have to weigh against how much your time is worth. I have time since I am simi-retired. You may just want to turn it over to a collection agency and let them try to collect.

My data files are ever changing and easy to search if I can't remember a company when they call. If you take the time to search and note comments on the boards and keep notes of your personal experience with the company, you most probably will remember it and won't have to look it up.

Thanks for the reply Glenn. I've been a Notary and Loan Signer for over five years now and have been fortunate not have been stiffed by any of the signing co's. I do however, have a list of late pays as well that I just don't take work from them anymore. Again, thanks.
