Computer Wizards: Question about my thinkpad x390 labtop...

I'm kind of angry right now! ***breathing in... breathing out*** Smiley

I've been using this labtop since I've became a notary. Granted it's not new, but it does the job! I have an IBM Thinkpad x390 and for whatever reason when I turn on my labtop my screen is black.

The black screen is lit up, and I can tell that my computer is running.... I just can't see anything! Do any of you computer wizards know what the problem might be??? I really don't want to purchase another labtop, but if I have to I will.

Thanks a bunch!

I don't know if you are running XP, but if you are check out this link:

Your boot record may be bad.

Do you have a bootdisk? I would try that first and see if you can get into "safe mode". What version of Windows are you running?
