Countrywide photocopies

Has anyone done a split Countrywide closing the instructions say the branch package gets original HUD and DOT plus a photocopy of "all signed loan documents?" I'm not sure what they mean by loan documents -- all of the docs have signatures it seems, but I don't want to make a copy of the whole package. Help please? Thanks. (And no I'm not new but the Countrywide ones I've done haven't included those instructions.)

Call and Ask them what they want done.

Great idea but no one answers. Maybe they don't work on Saturdays. They also want a call before giving permission to put the docs in dropbox, but again they're not answering. Thanks for your response though.

Reread the instructions. What do you think they want?? You said you have to "wait for permission to send the docs" ask them then and inform them that if you have to copy that WHOLE PKG it will be an additional charge of $25.

Does that help you or what! lol

Re: Call and Ask them what they want done.

Great suggestions but it just depends on if I can reach them today. I've tried Countrywide and the SA. Hopefully someone will call me back. If I don't hear back I'll put the docs in the dropbox. I'm getting help from a kind person on this board regarding the photocopies. That's my plan. Thanks for your response and have a great weekend.

Re: Call and Ask them what they want done.

What a great way to make sure that they never call you again.

If you want to succeed in this business you need to follow instructions and understand how the industry works. Understanding how the industry works means knowing better than to think you're going to get anybody on the phone at Countrywide on a Saturday. Following instructions means not dropping the docs in a box when you've specifically been told to wait for approval before doing so.

I don't know what your big hurry is. Just put the docs aside until Monday, call them and find out what they expect you to make copies of, give them the appropriate fee for making those copies ($25 sounds about right, they might even tell you to forget about the copies after they find out they'll have to pay you more), then ship the docs after they tell you it's ok. It's really a no brainer.

Re: Call and Ask them what they want done.

Everytime I have done a split package with Countrywide. I usually need to make copies of items that I send to title and that usually is only about 10-20 pages depending how many pages the deed is.

Most of the docs I have seen are sent to Tempe, AZ ...try and get the number for that location. I just had to send docs Saturday Delivery so someone must be there if they need them today.

good luck.

That was exactly my point at the beginning of this post!

My question is: Why the "Shell" do people ask questions on this board that pertain to the instructions given to them by the company that hired them???? Call the people that hired you and ask them. What's so darn difficult about that.

Use you head!

sounds like one i did through land america for countrywide. Land American wants the original hud, riders and quit claim deed. Countrywide gets a copy of the hud, riders and the rest of the docs. hope this helps

Re: Call and Ask them what they want done.

If your signing was on Saturday, there's nothing wrong with waiting until Monday to call them. If it was on Friday night, do all you can and then if you cannot get good answers, wait until Monday. I understand wanting to get it out today, however.

=============

Funny thing about CW...I did a one document job for them in April. It was $75. I still have not recieved payment Smiley !! This is the only deadbeat bill I have in my stack.

I have been through a lot of faxing to get this one paid...it is almost a joke now.

This morning I was thinking about calling the LO to tell him to get his AP people on it again...low and behold, the phone rings and it's the gal who has been in charge of seeing I get paid on this one...she's in the same office with the LO in Austin. Well, she says that she's getting a lot of calls saying that people have not received their check. Oh, really??

She wants to know if I have. Oh really??

No...still no check. She asked me to call her if I have not received my payment by next Saturday.

LOL...what is that about...From April and they are suddenly worried about it? Perhaps they have signings soon in my area...Just looking on the "Teddog-Style Brighter Side..."

I got a similar one the other day, but refused it when I read the confirmation. Got a call from LFC to do closing. Gave fee of $125, no problem. I get the confirmation 20 minutes later and find out it is a Countrywide. No problem, I usually only have to fax back a few pages. I am reading the confirmation and find out they want the following:

After signing fax back the following: TIL, DOT(all pages!), RTC, Doc Corr. & fees due agree, Note (all pages!), item. of amt. financed, all riders, sign. aff., HUD., and tracking number. This amounts to about 35 pages at a minimum. They are crazy!!

Then I have to call their system or log in online and report the following: Order number, signing date/time, signing package drop date, tracking number (again) and notary vendor number.

Then I have to fax the confirmation sheet along with the HUD and tracking number (again!) to "the fax number above."

Then it states the following:
Signed loan docs MUST be returned to Countrywide EXCEPT for the following list of ecrows and recordable docs: return these docs to LFC--
Borrower's Compliance agreement
Owner's affidavit
Survey affidavit
Proceeds confirmation letter
Refinance escrow instructions
Mortgage/DOT
All riders to mortgage.

All other docs will be sent to Countrywide Home Loans

I called LFC back and told them to forget about me doing this signing. Notaries get enough grief over "supposed" missing docs and screwups with notarizations when the package is sent all together to one place, now they think I should do the TC's job and split this package up! No way! We all know what the scenario would be. And they also have their statement about "failure to comply with any of these requirements could result in a reduction of agreed fees".

Apparently, more and more of us are seeing this type of request for Countrywide loans now. I for one will not accept these assignments for less than $175 from now on. I am not even sure I want to do it for that fee either. I personally have not had any issues in the past regarding missing docs or problems with notarizations, but I had a bad feeling about this so I chose to give it up. I know that this new procedure for Countrywide is going to cause alot of grief for notaries, and I don't think I want to be one of them. This is just my opinion, but I think alot of you would agree with me.

I had one of these from Country Wide once...

Its a split pack, mine required me to make 10-15 copies as well for the TC.

Now when I hear CW I ask if it is a splitpack. If it is I tell them my fee for that is additional.

It took an hour to complete after I got home, Fax, copy, split and inventory everything before sealing the 2 packages.

It was a pain but a great learning experance.

Before I read the responses you have received, I want to jump in and say that I also find this to be a confusing situation. I have only had it once and that was when I was hired by Pinnacle Financial. I do not think it was intended to blindside me but it did. I look forward to replies and what is given in response to your request.

Re: Countrywide photocopies-Shirley A

All depends where are you getting the loan signing from. The one's I do, there is no fax backs
or split packages required at all.
I got mine from a SS and I get 150.00 single loan no fax, no stupid splits.
1st and 2nd 200.00 again no fax, no splits.
If you do it directly from CW, its 250.00 single
1st and 2nd directly form CW its 375.00 and 530 pages
So one time I was asked that the package was going to be "split" ok, add 50.00 dollars more
to the above prices. I get them always.

Countrywide called for signing.......

on thursday night. I turned it down. I will only accept their signings through an SS because I've heard too many stories about SA's not getting paid from them directly. I don't need or want that hassle.
