Dont' Shoot! Newbie Question...

FIRST THINGS FIRST...NO.
1. I don’t want to know how you all marketed yourselves and got started
2. NO I don't want to ride along either...hehehe..but I may have a bone head question...
I have my first signing with a new S.S and they require ALOT of fax backs (Washington Mutual Re-fi). One of the items they are requiring to be faxed back is the "MTG-All Pages" ...Can someone please tell me what they are referring to as the MTG and where could I find this?

Re: Dont' Shoot! Newbie Question...POW!

Says MELISSA-CA: "Dont' Shoot! Newbie Question..."

Forgive me, gentle readers... I could not help but notice that the Newbie Melissa verbally mooned the entire board with her gutsy preface of "FIRST THINGS FIRST...NO. 1. I don’t want to know how you all marketed yourselves" then, " 2. NO I don't want to ride along either...hehehe..but I may have a bone head question...."

"Miss Melissa, this sounds like LandAm which is not a new SS, but maybe new to you. If I am wrong, please email me as I would be interested to know who is doing these besides LA and the other place I know of. I have *few* on the calendar for this month.

You can email me if you want to know how much I charge for these.

The answer you want is about faxing back: "MTG-All Pages"

MTG = Mortgage.

Look for the "Mortgage." If there is not a document with that title, you should use the Deed of Trust. Some states use a DOT, and some states use a Mortgage. A Californian can tell you.

The Mortgage (or Deed of Trust) is the document that will be filed in the county clerk's records. (That's where it is done in Texas anyhow.) Usually it is about 16 letter size pages long. You will need to have it signed by the appropriate individuals, you'll notarize it, and apparently you will then fax it back.

You can find this document midways of the package. It's a pretty important document so make sure you have it signed exactly as printed on the documents. Have it initialed if it is required. If there are no intial blanks, I do not have them do the initials.

Go forth and prosper with this new found wisdom."

I find it entertaining that you mention you are a newbie - this is your first signing, and your blog says experienced. Coming to the NotRot is a great place to ask these questions. Let us know when you get your website completed and good luck at your signing.

I am not trying to be mean, but not knowing what one of the main docs is called. Is a little scary.

Get a book on Loan Signing and read, read, read.
