EIN question....

I've decided to apply for an EIN so I don't have to give out my SS# to new companies anymore. Just wondering how easy it is and can I still have one by not being a business but just an individual....?

yes, you can be a sole proprietor, do a search under EIN, there should be lots of info and opinions. Good Luck
