E&A and GTA
I just received a closing and was told the borrower's are bringing these two things to closing, does anyone know what these stand for?

I don't, but guessing earnings and assets? I guess some sort of proof of assests? Call the company and find out, I want to know!

If it is NYS, they are the required forms thate require signature that accompany a deed for recording. Equalization and Assesment form changes the tax assesment from one grantee to the another. GTA is the Gains Tax Affidavit also required to show the state tax paid if there was any consideration in the transfer. Sometimes because they are on NCR paper they forward ahead to client and/or notary as they cannot be emailed.

NYS notaries really should always have a supply in breifcase. Makes life a lot easier for title cos. Just always tell them if there is a deed you have the other required forms to be signed. Again, makes life easier for everyone. You get a supply at your county clerk's office.
