E-Docs Fees

I have closing tonight for a company that has always sent the docs to me by Fed-Ex. I quote them my usual fee for a standard refinance without E-Docs. They contact me this morning to let me know that some of the docs were not included, and would be e-mailed to me. Usually this is the Hud, application forms, etc maybe a total of 10 pages at most. I received the E-Mail and it is an additional 35 pages, with the lender/borrower copies that will a total of 70 additional pages that I will have to print without a fee. Am I wrong to feel that I should call them to add an E-Docs fee? I have not had this problem before and would like opinions. TIA

I would call them and let them know you charge such and such for that number of pages. I have had this happen to me on several occasions and the company would resend the confirmation with the new fee.

I would charge them for printing the docs. They should not have a problem with that.

Brenda, I had this same thing come up last week. I called the TC and they didn't realize the settlement agent had sent other docs. So, I let that one go and told the scheduler that in the future I would charge a e-doc fee. Yesterday I received a call from them for the similar situation, and I reminded him that if I received all of those document via email again, I would give him a call. He told me they would adjust my fee if so.

Thanks you all for your responses. I did call the TC they know about the docs as they are the ones that sent them. I requested an E-Doc fee, and was informed that it had to be approved.

Re: Typical n/m

I had a signing with a big title co, and for some reason they had to redraw the docs and
told me to charge them the extra print fee. Well I did, but they never pay me the extra
printing fee. I let it go, but in the next I did not print again till I have a confirmation letter
with my updated fee. In your case dont just accept that they have aproved your updated fee
orally, have them send you a CL with your updated fee.

I asked for a new confirmation letter with my E-Docs fee added, she informed me that her boss had to approve the fee. I am still waiting to hear back from them.

Thank you all for your responses. Yes, they did come through with my E-Doc fee and a new confirmation letter. That was just too many pages to be a freebie.
