Hey I wanted to check..I have an associate whom is an attorney/notary in Florida and is interested in doing closing for you company. She is very experienced and has closed over 200 loans during the past two years. However She has not taken a Signing Agent course. Also the Signing Services with which she has closed her loans informed her that they do not give references. She is located in Tampa and is very flexible with her fees. Is there anything she can do?
Please advise.
Thank you
Joshua Basil

Have your friend call and talk to Mindi. I am not certified by the NNA or anyone else and Mindi accepted me based on my 2 years experience working for a title company.
Mindi is great to work with.

I have over 2 years exp. and work for many different TC's and a few SS's. I was advised by the tc's I work for that they don't give letters of recommendation and don't want SS's calling them for such. Florida's Best would not accept this, although I offered to show them my confirmations with the brw's and lenders info whited out, so they could see how many I do for certain co.'s and avoid irritating the cash cow. Oh, well, their loss. I never spoke with Mindi, as she was out of town, but Michelle (?) said it would not be acceptable.

Hello Mistarella:
If you can obtain two professional references from anyone you have worked for in the recent past (it doesn't have to be a title company or signing company) it would be acceptable to me. Just as long as it is a professional reference, as opposed to a personal one. If you would like to download a copy from our website, simply go to www.floridasbestclosers.com, and click on Notary sign-up, then the independent contractor agreement. Our Independent Contractor agreement includes two blank reference forms that can be faxed to your contacts. Thanks for the note.

Thanks for the input I'll have her call and ask for Mindi, perhaps she can demonstrate her ability.
