For entertainment only.......... EOM unwinding ......
Last night, I completed a signing in a bowing alley. While probably not that unusual, it was different. I did a search just for the fun of it, and did not find much on unusual signing locations. I have heard stories about airplane hangers, baseball stadiums, malls, parks, railroad museums ect. With all that experience out there, there must be some great stories out there. So where was the most unusual location you ever completed a signing?

Hi Glenn: I've idly thought about doing some compilatons because some of the stories I read on this site are fantasticn if nothing else. I think it would make interesteing reading. I haven't done one in abowling alley yet but I have completed sitnings in bakeries, icecream parlors, and a smoked meat shop. I guess on of my more challenging was at a logging site on the back of a mechanics truck. You knwo the ones with the big utility boxes on the side. Well we dropped one of the box covers and it turned out to be a fair signing table and I just set my briefcase on the back bumper and away we went. I actually took a photo of that signing. It would be nice tobe able to share photos on this site but I'm sure it wold take up to much server space. Another one was at a goat dairy, which was most enjoyable. I've go to run, take care!

I had to sign with an exotic dancer one time while she was at work. We sat there at one of the tables signing away with her in her underwear. Had to pause once during the signing while she did her turn on stage. I wish they could all be like that one!!!

I did a signing in the editing room for the movie "Fun With Dick and Jane", got to sort of watch about half an hour of it while she was signing. I also did one on the set of the TV show "The Night Stalker", which was a new show this season, and I think it was cancelled pretty quickly. I also did one at the main offices of Condomania, which isn't really that unusual a location, but definitely an unusual business. They didn't offer me any free condoms.
I'm still waiting (ok, hoping) to do one on the set of a porn movie since I do service the San Fernando Valley, the Porn capital of the world. I'll be sure to drag that signing out if it ever happens.

I did a signing on Friday night that looked like Joe's Apartment. The place was crawling with cockroaches. It was the most disgusting house I've ever been in.... SS called and said she had a SA ready to go but cancelled 15 minutes before the appt. They must have drove by and kept going!

Most unusual was probably on a bench at the airport; I also did a QCD there curbside for a guy who was on his way out of town. He jumped off a shuttle from the parking lot, signed on the hood of my car and ran inside to catch his plane. I've done a few signings in nursing homes using a variety of things as a table. Most memorable was using the patient's small rolling food tray. That package had four signers and the poor woman's colostomy bag was starting to overflow before we finished, but she didn't want to stop until we were done! Whew!! Then there was the one at a small lab that manufactures dentures - and they were laying around all over the place. The only clear space was the top of a ledge, maybe 8" wide that became our signing table. Did the whole thing standing up. And, of course, there are the assorted businesses: a liquor store, a Vietnamese restaurant, numerous Starbucks and fast food places and the occasional nice conference room at someone's office - my favorite! ;>)
