How about attach an acknowledgement. I think this is best. I will also ask title co. Thank you for any responses.

You need to enter the date the signer appeared before you. If there is a date there already and it is incorrect, then you probably are better off to attach an acknowledgement to avoid any appearance of backdating. Make sure to x out the verbiage and write in "See attached acknowledgement"

Is 1/13 date in body of doc or in ack section?
If the date is in the body of the grant deed , you should not change it. Deed can be dated any date prior to the date of the mtg/dot which may be earlier than the date thath the mtg/dot is actually signed. Doc should, of course , be notarized as of the date that it is signed/acked before you

GL - email me directly or call my cell
For God's Sakes Don't call the escrow company! call me and we'll go over the doc together. Once you understand, you'll never have this question again, ok?

Thanks Brenda - we talked ...
.. and GL really knew what to do; just needed some assurance (like we all did when we had something unfamiliar!). Thank you -- GL, you're on the right track and doing great, no worries!
