I just broke my new toner cartridge!!!

I'm printing e-docs, and noticed the toner was running out. So I shook the cartridge to get the escrow docs printed. Got those done. I unwrapped my new cartridge and shook it a few times like it says before putting it in and I dropped it!!! On my tile floor. It broke!!!! Luckily no toner came out though. Good thing I buy them 2 at a time.... I was so mad.

BakersfCA , I'm glad to hear you had another cartridge. That could have been a big hassle.

As for Anonymous, who cares about you? Answer: NO ONE

To Beth MD....Right back at you!!!

This site is suppose to be for information purposes not for someone to cry and complain about a stupid toner cartridge!!!

Re: Go away and remain away anonymous

Look anonymous...no one is interested in your glib comments or your ridiculous need to bash others behind your mask. Why don't you just try saying nothing...it's not like you have anything worth saying.

By the way, do you really want me to be worried because you say no one likes me? What an inflated ego you have.

Seems like Beth did post something informative, she told you to go away.

Anonymous since you could use a good laugh why not look in

the mirror instead of at your computer scene. You may enjoy that much better (laughing and laughing while all the rest of us are enjoying each others "intelligent" conversations.)

Do you think you could take it back to the store? I would certainly try since toner is not cheap.

I might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but isn't that the equivalent of ... stealing?

"I might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but isn't that the equivalent of ... stealing?"

Not if you take it back to the store and tell them what happened. Now, If you pack it up in the box and take it back and say something along the lines of "Im returning this because I dont need it", Then that would be stealing.

I order them from E-bay. They are not as expensive on e-bay as they are in the office supply stores.

Do you think any store would replace a toner cartridge because the user was clumsy?

"Mr./Ms. Signing Agent, I spilled coffee all over the lovely loan package you sent to me so nice and prompt. Would you please go out and do the whole process again for free? My bad! <giggle>"

Come now. Was the toner mfg negligent because the directions didn't say "Grip the cartridge tightly" or "perform this action over a cluster of pillows in case it flies out of your hands?"

We all do that clumsy "D'ohh!" stuff but at what point are we responsible for our mistakes?

I agree with Rick on this one. It's not the store's responsibility to replace the cartridge. I once dropped my cell phone on the bathroom tiled floor and broke the antenna -- Verizon didn't care how it got broke and they were very happy to repair it at my cost.

Chock it up as a lesson, and I bet you won't every drop another cartridge.
