Interstate Closings
Just received a call from them. Did a search and it seems to be on the negative side. Any new info on them??

I did one for them awhile back when Progressive Title was using them. Didn't have any problems.

Thanx Roger. I think Im going to start a new policy for new companies that contact me. Stay within a certain distance for signings and as I figure out they are an OK company I will travel further for them. Off topic, lately I have been getting calls from unfamiliar companies and companies that dont have the best history. Looking foward to Feb and March when things pick up. Until then, market, market, market, and study all that I can.

Lisa, I think just about everyone is getting more calls from the "less than stellar" companies these days! IMO, they are getting desperate as more and more notaries refuse to work for them. That's why boards such as these are so great! The notary can see how the company treats notaries before deciding if they want to extend credit to a company.

They pay between 20 and 90days. I think it depends when you complete the loan.

90 Days........Too long. I really dont believe there is a good valid reason for these companies not to pay for that long. Thats just plain ridiculous. Non the less, thanks for the info. Good to know.

Re: Interstate Closings-Bonnie
I even had to turn one down from the infamous "Signatures Plus" who owe me a traveling fee for one signing I did for them and when I told the girl that, she wanted to make it better, but I said "Dont worry about it, just take me out of your database." I have been fortunate this past year, only being burned 3 times, all different companies. Being as I was a Newbie, I took it as added experience to my profile. I can confidently say I completed the signing with no errors and at that point of my carreer, it was important.

I did one for them in December. No problem with them and they paid within 15 days.
