Its completely dead here in s/CA

I have one only for Friday morning, that one will not cover my cost of my monthly cellular.

There have been numerous posts recently about how slow/dead signing work is in CA. Perhaps one of the posters should bundle those posts and send them to NNA, whose efforts
have already placed an SA on about every street corner in CA, and who still continues to recruit en masse!!

Same for Northeastern Colorado. I've completed only 4 this month so far.

The NNA doesn't care.

What makes you think that the NNA cares how many notarys there are in California?

The NNA's function is to make profits for the owners of the NNA. Yes, I know there is a foundation that's non-profit, but the foundation doesn't run the classes, collect membership fees, sell supplies and send out "make Big Money" brochures with lots of classes every month.

It's profits that drive the NNA, not concerns about the existing notarys. They have worn out (over solicited) the retired or displaced market and are now chasing students in college to join up and become a Notary Signing Agent making "$150 an hour". How will that be of benefit to existing notarys, even the newbies created last month? The only one who benefits is the NNA.

Sad, sad, sad.

Re: The NNA doesn't care.

I personally dont think college students are the right people to go out on these appointments
as they have no experience with the types of paperwork that are included in the packages.

No kidding. I keep looking at my cell phone to make sure it's still on.

It's dead alright. It's January - the slowest month of the year. Interest rates have gone up. Six months ago, there were about 50 homes on the MLS, now there's over 300 (and we're a small county). Even new subdivisions that are coming online in the next three months have builders re-evaluating their pricing.

It's starting to look like a buyers market all of the sudden.

Things are hopping for me. I've had at least one a day, and tomorrow I have four.

I've had 5 or 6 so far this month, which is slow, but I think Jan is usually slow. Which is nice after Dec! Someone (sorry I forgot who) thought it might pickup after christmas bills start coming in. I figure thats about right... so heres to a swamped Feb!

I thought it was just me, but for the past 2 weeks, I only received 1 call and that was today for Friday evening. Up until the first of the year, I wasn't able to breath, I was so busy, but now it's very, very, scarey slow.

I had one at the beginning of the month but had to turn it down because I had the flu. Just had my second call lastnight for a signing that I did. So that makes two calls for this month. At least I'll have my cell phone paid. After that, I'm dead even for the month.

Glad to know it's not just me. lol.
