I see posts like this on the board all the time. What exactly is the point of posting on here that you're emailing each other? I could see posting a message on the board if you got no reply, to see if the other person got it, but it seems kind of odd to me to announce that an email was sent, and that an email was replied to. Why isn't the email itself enough communication?

I don't mean to pick on you two specifically, but I've been wanting to ask this for awhile and this just triggered it.

I simply did that so she would be able to identify an email of unknown orgin.
What I mean is if I get an email and I dont know who its from I am not open it .

I do not read other email unless I know who it's from and I am often logged on under another screen name not my regular email screen name soooo...I log on to my email screen name to check email and log off when I am done and go back to my other name.

It's that a good answer? :-)

Okay, since I am not computer savy, I can't take anymore risks. We are on our 5th computer ( we don't have 5 computers) because of them crashing, frying whatever you want to call it. My second computer is currently out of comission it may have a virus, it's simply not doing anything. It's just there...frozen.

So I prefer to know ahead of time who's emailing me.

That is what I am afraid of. What I oten do is call in for my messages, I can do that with AOL, and then decide to respond if I know who it's from.

Well have a good night, I am taking my hubby out for dinner and a movie for his birthday.
