Kinko's Printing Price

There was a thread here that extolled the virtues of printing at Kinko's and gave a price of $15.00 to print docs. I don't know if all Kinko's have a standard price structure, however I just came back from a signing with an out of state escrow officer. He mentioned to me how he wished that he had found me earlier as the charge from Kinko's to print one set of docs for a first & second was $100.00. Something to think about when considering alternatives to printing at home.

NO one should be using Kinkos to print docs. That's for emergency only.

The last time I used a computer at Kinko's the printing price was 49 cents a page.

Also, if the file isn't a pdf, chances are you wouldn't be able to print the documents even if you were willing to pay. Kinkos ain't gonna let us download document viewers onto their computers.

**NO one should be using Kinkos to print docs. That's for emergency only.**

Would I be a smart aleck if I asked, "What rule book is that one from?"
"Can you please define emergency for us?"

I won't ask it if it will be considered being rude.

Thanks.

I don't think Kinko's or anywhere else should be used except in special circumstances, such as printer problems or title co. request because of last minute issues. I would worry about the privacy issues.

And yes, Brenda, that was rude. Having read this board for quite a while, I have to say, I expected better from you.

Re: Kinko's Printing Price..top quality stock will cost you

When you use Kinkos or any other copy center make sure you ask for 20lb stock(paper) If you do not indicate which type of stock (paper) to use...they sometimes will copy on top quality paper. The price will be shocking..... 20 lb stock, black and white, on legal paper is what I specify. Remember they can't read your mind...if you don't tell them they will automatically copy on more expensive paper. They are great for emergencies. Terri/Florida

I once had to use Office Max. They charged about $13 and it was all on legal paper.

Used them only once, but learned something

Needed to use them in an emergency. Lender changed dox at closing and
I had to have them printed at a nearby Kinkos
Lender paid , but Kninko guy told me that if staff has time, it is much cheaper
to burn docs to a disk and have them print them than to pay the 49 cents/page
to print them yourself either from your laptop or from one of their computers. .

I have had many TC's send PDF docs to Kinko's for printing, which I pick up from there in my travels.

*Kinko's charges $0.08 per legal sized page IF the file is sent to them and they print it.*

*Kinko's has very strict privacy policies, so I would not worry about docs being sent there.*

You will pay huge fees if you rent a computer from them and print from that computer. I believe Kinko's charges something like $0.50 per minute to use one of their computers. There is an additional charge on top of that for printing from that rented computer.

I have sent many a set of docs to Kinko's mostly when we can not find a notary whom has the ability to receive and print docs. If you go to the store and attempt to print them yourselves it can be expensive. If you e-mail the docs to the kinkos(some will take it directly some will require you use there online store) you sill save allot of money. For a full loan set printed on both letter and legal as well as a copy for the borrowers you looking at about $10 to $15 depending on the number of pages.

The main thing you need to check is call the location first and ask what the eta would be. Some are really quick some will tell you next day.
