Move over NNA and the rest of you!!!
I see that our local community college now offers a course in How To Become a Loan Signing agent. I guess every body wants to get in on the Mega Bucks to be made as a signing agent.

Not actually, it's just the thing to do right now, so You move over and let nature take it's course. It's the business.

Appears that Miami-Dade college also has a Signing Agent class. A signing agent sent me her info to sign up with my signing service. The certificate she faxed just said "Signing Agent Education Course" at the top and no indication on who issued it. I asked and was told she took the course at Miami-Dade college. I have no idea of the value of that course, how in-depth it is etc and do not recognise it as a valid indication that the signing agent knows what she is doing, same as the NNA certification doesn't guarantee the signing agent is competent.

it is my understanding that the NNA does sponsor these classes, there was an article in one of their magizines in the past couple of months that they would be giving notary classes and signing agent classes at the state colleges. They feel the students would be great signing agents!

That's what I've noticed to be happening here as well. Now every community college is in the game. Wonder who's teaching the courses? How do they decide the qualifications for the teachers?
