Nevermind...

I came on here because I had a question. I generally stay away from this board because this is one of the rudest communities. You treat people that have a genuine intrest in becoming a notary with disrespect and it is so not called for.

This should be a place where people can go to ask their peers questions and actually get an answer that will help.

Here is my advice...If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all.

My "peers" don't ask questions such as, can a do a Notarization for my spouse? My peers know their Notary laws and don't need to ask people they do not know on a message board. My peers first refer to their state's Notary manual.

Whoa Gobiz, don't critisize the answers you have gotten. Both posters are answering your question. I am familiar with the doc you are talking about. Go to a Mail Box Etc., Postal Annex or UPS Store; for 10.00 bucks you can get what you need.

That's what I was going to do any way, I was just curious because the state says it can not be of any financial benedit, and it won't be. I was just asking a question.

Try this...

Read message #76283; it will provide you some insight into what some perceive as rudeness on the board, but is actually an attempt to help them before they do some real damage.

I just checked out the thread with your question below. You got two perfectly civil and polite responses, not a hint of rudeness in either of them. What in the hell are you whining about?

I hate to break it to you sweetie, but you can't come on here and say "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all" when the rest of your post is telling us how awful we are. At least not if you want us to think of you as anything but an ignorant hypocrite.

So unless you have somethng nice to say to us in the future, follow your own advice and shut your freaking piehole.

What are you talking about??

You received perfectly polite and helpful answers to your question. Were you looking for answers or some kind of emotional validation? Are they passing out notary certifications at psychiatrist offices now? Good freaking grief, some of you are the most fragile little flowers I've ever seen.

Toughen UP

If they think we're tough and rude, I'd love to see them with some of the borrowers I've had. Maybe we should tell them that we're just preparing them for the work they've selected! Anytime you deal with the public, you'd better grow a thick skin quickly or you'll be spending a lot of time crying.

I agree with Dorothy

I have been treated worse by borrowers! Last night, for example, I went to a signing where one of the brwr's didn't have valid ID. There were 3 adults in the house and they tries to "boo me up" and force me to accomodate them by being ugly and belligerent. At that moment in time, I would have preferred to be here online being told off. At least I can turn the computer off and walk away....LOL. AND NO I DID NOT SIGN HIM!

Re: I agree with Dorothy

I had an irrate wife last night that kept questioning why she wasn't on all the docs and if she was half owner of the house. She was on the mortgage, rtc, etc. Finally he says because I'm the one whose credit they checked! That shut her up.

Re: In spite of its name, this is not a notary board

It's a signing agent board. I think they should change the name because too many notaries get the mistaken idea that they might actually get help with notary questions here.

Re: In spite of its name, this is not a notary board

ummmm....last I checked, we have to be a notary first and foremost. Before asking a question that is found in your state handbook, try to educate yourself on the basics. We all started out new, but I have never expected anyone here to hand it to me. You are in business for yourself, educate yourself or go out of business.

Many times, you can get an answer for just about anything by using the search feature.
Many people will reply to a genuine plea for help if it's not right there in front of your face. Don't look at this board as a school room, where you raise your hand and ask an elementary question.
