New acknowledgement forms for California
Hello, I was recently told about the new acknowledgement form but have used the old ones, did the wording change or can I still use the ones I have. I fingerprint each time I do a notary job and I still have quite a few forms left. Do I need to order new ones?
Thanks!!!

Actually, he probably doesn't need the new one.
There is nothing "new" about the new form. The only difference is now the wording has to be exactly as stated in the notary manual. Before the change it only had to be substantially the same as the wording in the notary manual, which is the exact same wording as the "new" form.
Doesn't anybody know how to look these things up for themselves?

I could not have put it better myself...with a little bit or research and some common sense to boot one would know that you can get copies of the new documents for free from the Ca. Sec of State web site. But I guess we can thank the NNA for that one too.......

Hello Again, I went down to the National Notary Association and was told that you can use the old forms, they are printing new forms to include the words notary public after you print your name. You won't have to write notary public any more the forms will be pre-printed. So everyone can relax and continue using their old forms ( the wording did not change per the NNA).
