Notaryclasses.com Jurat
I just checked out a link, mentioned in an earlier thread, to the downloadable jurat on notaryclasses.com.
Is the format of their jurat even legal in California? They have a space to insert the name of the notary, which is not the format that is listed in the notary handbook. Why on earth would they alter it from what the state mandates?

I use a stamp I bought here at Notary Rotary. But, I just reccommended this form to someone the other day. I went to the notary classes.com site and looked at their form, you are correct it does have a line to add notary name. I just sent them an e-mail asking them why their form is different, and not compliant with California laws.

Yep, Cali you are right. As the new jurat was mandated from January 2005 on, and was the topic of discussion during 2005, it surprises me (alot) that it is not correct on notaryclasses.com.
It must have been an oversight. I'm sure Joan will clarify.

And I expected nothing less from Dan.
For clarificaiton, Joan is not the company's owner, Daniel Jones is; Joan is just an instructor and does not make company policy or work on the website or make decisions regarding what is put on the website or how the lesson plans are written, etc.

Your right Joan doesn't do those things. But if we know Joan (and I think we do), had she read the post she would have definately brought it to Dan's attention and let us know that they were "working on it". She's quite dedicated and thorough.
