OT Computer maintenance recommendation

Don't know about the rest of you but my computers running XP seem to get little bugs all the time to the registry, file extensions, etc. I found a product "Registry Mechanic" that does wonders. From my daughters laptop being frozen not able to start windows to my favorites mysteriously disappearing, Registry Mechanic has fixed the problem without causing me too many more gray hairs (I have enough already!) and saving me endless hours of frustratrion.
