OT: I just got my Christmas gift this weekend

I know that there are a ton of dog lovers (and all other kind of animals) on this site. I had to share what my hubby got me for Christmas. A Boxer puppy. We already have one Boxer that we rescued and just love him. I have often said I wish we had had him when he was a puppy so I guess hubby took the hint. She is named Annie and she and I are the only "girls" on our property. She is sooo cute!

Nothing like a Pup! They are really sweet and just thrilled by everything that's new to them.
Enjoy ! Annie will not be a pup for long. Take lots of pictures and enjoy the awkward age (back paws one-way front paws the other way) I used to get a big kick out of that one. lol Another favorite! when they finally discover the crumbs are even good to eat. Large dogs are just a Hoot to watch.

Congrats Beverly!

Boxers are great dogs. My sister has a male named Jake and he is the sweetest guy. I've been thinking about adding a new little one to my houshold as well. My best friend just got a mini Dauchound this weekend. I have been thinking about a Dauchound, but my SO is affraid it won't make a good boat-dog due to the short legs. I did see a sweet looking Beagle in the paper today. I might take a trip to the shelter to check her out.

Becca, I also have Mini Dachsaund. I've had him since he was 6 weeks old. I've had Mini Dachsaund's since I was 11...a long time ago. All the dachsaund I've had have loved the water. We had one that would hang ten on a surf board while you where pulled behind the boat. When I lived in Satellite beach and we had jet ski's we took them out all the time. They loved it.
That being said I have never had such a gentle, friendly, protective, clownish dog as the Boxer.
The "boys" have been gentle as lambs with the new little girl. It is very cute to watch. I think they are in LOVE!!

Congrats on the Puppy. Boxers are such great dogs. And puppies are so neat to have .Enjoy your Annie.
