OT...New workout

Just wondering how many began new workout programs as part of the new year. I let a soon to be ex-friend talk me into the Billy Blanks Taebo thing. My hair hurts.

I watched my daughter do a billy boot camp thing.... I spent most of my time trying to figure out if he was wearing a skirt, shorts or coulotts. What ever it was, it must have had weights in the hem

My daughter is very athletic. Going to school for athletic training and works in a sort shop. She was hurting after her first couple of workouts too. So it must be a very effective program. Look at the folks in the back rows...they are the intermediate level.

I think the BB dvds are real good at getting your heart rate up. I have up'd my martial arts routine. This year I test for my 2nd degree black belt. (In August). I am testing with my Grand Master in Oklahoma. I am very nervous. Martial Arts is great, but really, any type of exercise is better than none. Do you have the 8 minute video BB put out? It's great when you don't have much time. - Melissa

No I don't have it. I'm an idiot. I let my friend talk me into joining a class at the gym. Misery in public!

Being a diabetic, it's always a big hassle to get a plan going. Exercise affects my insulin and my insulin affects my exercise. But I am keeping my fingers crossed that we can work and adjust without too many hassles.

I have a couple kids that are diabetic in the taekwondo class I teach. I also have a student with lupus and one with MS. The good thing with taekwondo is you can modify it somewhat for others and still get a great workout, learn discipline, etc. My father was a diabetic and taken at a young age. They didn't have the equipment they have today to help keep your insulin levels right. You are going to do fine!!!! The exercise may even help?!?! Take great care of yourself!!!

Re: OT...Workout - not intended for those whose eyes hurt

THE MIRACLE OF TOILET PAPER

Fresh from my shower, I stand in front of the mirror complaining to my
husband that my breasts are too small. Instead of characteristically
telling me it's not so, he uncharacteristically comes up with a
suggestion.

"If you want your breasts to grow, then every day take a piece of
toilet paper and rub it between them for a few seconds."

Willing to try anything, I fetch a piece of toilet paper and stand in
front of the mirror, rubbing it between my breasts.

"How long will this take?" I asked

"They will grow larger over a period of years," my husband replies.
I stopped. " Do you really think rubbing a piece of toilet paper between
my breasts every day will make my breasts larger over the years?"

Without missing a beat he says "Worked for your butt, didn't it?"

He's still alive, and with a great deal of therapy, he may even walk
again. Stupid, stupid man.
