POA help needed please...
I *did* search and was desperately trying to find Carolyn's POA post from a few months back, but didn't have any luck.
From what I can remember, the signature should be John A. Doe for Jane A. Doe, Attorney in Fact-does this sound right?
and the initialing should be JAD for JAD AIF-right?
but what about in the notorial block?
I emailed and called title, but their swamped-I don't expect a call back anytime soon. Guess I could put a call in to my friends at the SOS.
Help!

The "John Doe for Jane Doe as attorney in fact" sounds right...The initials...I'm not sure, but that sounds like it might be right too..

Cherilyn, You've got it. For the notarial block, I wrote it the same way -- John A. Doe for Jane A. Doe, AIF. I never heard anything back, and it is one of my regulars, so I can only assume it was OK.

As for the notary acknowledgment block. The name of the signer (without the for John Doe, etc.) is how it should be filled out. This is info I received from the NNA. Also an oath cannot be taken for another person.
