Doesn't look like it has room for a dual tray printer. I am also not a "truck" driver. Wonder if they can incorporate this technology on my F650GS??? Hmmm....

Re: I like high tech, but this is overkill ......
in my opinion. But if there is a need for it, someone will go for it 'm sure.

The F650GS might be a little tough, even my R75RT might be difficult but I have a buddy in the area who has a Honda PC (650CC) and that sucker has a trunk, he is a tech and carries test equipment as well as his laptop and a printer. Maybe you'd like to get a Honda: NOT! I doubt you'd consider a rice rocket after riding a Beemer.

Hell, I love my Beemer! I would never trade it for anything ESPECIALLY A FORD!!!! If only BMW could make such a vehicle with all of those gadgets....I'd be their first and favorite customer!!!

I can hold lots of papers and supplies in the topbox (that locks), and bungee the Brother 210c to the seat. I installed an adapter that can take 10amps, so as long as I run one thing at a time I don't overload the baby battery.

my friend used to work at
a place called FIELDWORKS. They have since changed their names and are worldwide with offices in other countries because I think they either merged with someone or took a more universal name (something more dramatic I think).
From what I understood from the owners, they created these "field" computers which they claim are unable to be broken. One unit they would put the laptop in a washing maching and let it tumble and be using it remotely outside on the table at trade shows. Another unit was called the penguin unit and they had one with a team in the north pole and the things that was cool about that was that the screen was this gel stuff or something and they said a person would freeze to death before the screen ever would. Everytime they did a presentation they would toss it across the conference room, ask someone to toss it back (like they were going to catch it), let it drop and then toss it back and pick it up and use it. They were cool, but 10-11 years ago the cheapest one was $4500 with it pretty much sripped with no real options.
My friend used to build some units for the military and he was only allowed to insert the chips after they came delivered by armored car and then they would call him and have him walk outside, turn on the computer, put in a random code (and was told it was obsolete after used once) and the laptop would be using a satellite and then zoom in on him where they would tell him to look up and smile. (their idea of humor I'm sure) He was a little freaked out when they did that stuff. Then he was told to shut it off, package it up and someone would be there in about 20 minutes (in an armored car) to take it. After the first time he did that, they sent him the photo of himself smiling.
It was pretty cool.
