Product endorsement - Screen Protector
though those of you who use PDAs, digital camera's and other devices might like to know. I have tried a number of different screen protectors over the years but I recently came across a screen protector that has incredible properties: its used to protect the leading edge of helicopter blades. The product is found on:

I've used it on my portable GPS mountain biking and Geocaching and it has take quite a beating but the screen still looks like new. I used to have to change the screen protector on my PDA regularly and this one has been on for several months and not a scratch on it yet. I guess if it protects helicopter blades from minor impacts at several hundred miles and hour I can withstand my uses. The protectors are guranteed for life and you get free replacements.
The other product I found I really like was designed for LCD and TFT screens on laptops but I use it for my glasses, cleaning my PDA my digital camera and a lot of other things, its called e-wipes and can be found at

My husband is going to have his office manager look in to the e-wipes.

My son just got one of these invisible shield screen protectors a couple of weeks ago for his cell phone. Once he installed it (which was much easier than he expected after watching the video and reading others' comments) we compared our phones (which are the same kind), and the shield was nearly invisible--maybe a slight rainbow effect when viewing from an angle but really had to look for it. I'm glad to hear yours has lasted several months without a scratch.
Shipping seemed excessively high for such a small thing, so I poked around on the site until I found free shipping.

Thanks for the info, Charles.
I have been using screen protectors on my PDA's for years. They usually only last a few months before they start scratching up really bad.
I ordered an Invisible Shield and I'm looking forward to receiving it.

Good looking out. I needed a screen for my Garmin Street Pilot. PS those links don't work with the URL attached. (not for me anyway)
