Professional Settlement Services

Revisit please. I have searched and read. The posts were four months old. Just wanted an update if there are any.

Just got an email from them. Says they talked to me about an application. No. Don't remember it.

Who all is having good luck with them now? Becca's post was pretty scary...she and I have a similar fuse size, I think...just let me go do my work!!

I don't want a bunch of phone calls. I really get buggy with the phone ringing constantly.

Thought I told you about them the other day, yes they do call for every little detail and the borrower as well. Expect the package to be no less than 150 pages where they shrunk orignal to about 70% then you'd have to attach loose certificate b/c your seal won't fit the document anymore from their reduced scan. Worst yet, you have to call in your report 1 hour after the signing. Is this scary enough?

Yes, you did. I remember now. We covered a lot of info in that conversation.

I did one for them in late Sept. last yr. They pd. in less than 30 days, about 2 wks. if I recall. The docs & HUD were late and it was a 2 fer. I gather it didn't fund then but they called me to go back but I had something else going on. Haven't heard from them since.

They want you call when you receive confirmation, call once confirmed with borrower, call when arrive at the borrower's home, call when you leave the borrower's home and fax back pages. They are 150 pages or so and they don't want to pay a "normal" fee for that size package. You end up printing 300 pages or better for both copies. I have only done one for them and that was before I knew about their package size compared the fee paid. They do pay within 30 days but in my opinion its not worth it.

I did one loan for them a year ago. That was one too many in my opinion. They expect way too much from their notaries.

THANKS.

in this thread. Thank you for the responses. I appreciate your input and the one that made me certain I will not put my time into the application was the story about the dates. I cannot stand a cheat and a liar...and if it was an oversight, I don't want to work with that much nutty disorganization.

Re: THANKS.-Brenda

No problem, this is one thing I would like to see more of here. A lot of people post to ask about company sometimes with no response. If after they did an assignment they would come back to their oringnal post and say how it went then we could gather information that could be found in the search. Does that make since? jmo

I did a signing for them on the 26th of December. I was called to go back on the 30th because I "put the wrong date on doc's". Was I ever glad of all those fax backs. (never thought I would say that). I had copies of everything and I didn't put the wrong date on anything. The date that they wanted me to back date for was the 23rd. I said noway. Then a few hours later I recieved a call from Bernard telling me it was my responsibility to go back because I had "messed up the docs" I informed him that I had copies of all notarized papers per thier instructions and I would not be going back and back dating. I also let him know that the BR spouse was a notary and I thought that they should know that. I waited until the 3rd of January and called to inquire about this with them. I explained what had happend and told them who I had spoke with and I wanted to know if I was going to be paid for the work I had done. She said that she would look into and call me back. I ask if she could email me because I would be in other closing's all day. This way I could get a written response. Low and behold I did recieve a response telling me that I would be paid my full fee. I recieved my check in the mail on the 17th of Jan.
I might work for them again but I will always keep copies of the fax backs to cma!!!
PS Bernerd did call me on the 4th to do another closing but I said no waiting to see if I would be paid as promised.

I haven't done much for them, but I think very disorganized. Many phone calls only to cancel and the last call I had they wanted to pay $100 edocs 1 and 1/2 hour round trip. She would not negotiate. As far as I remember that is what they were paying 3 years ago. Also, took a long time to be paid for the one I did do.

Well..I just want to say THANK YOU to all who posted their opinions on this company. I received a call from them today and would normally give Signing Services a chance (with the exception of SOX and a few others known for very bad reps) regardless of what is said from some posters. I was in a signing today and someone from their company left me a message to do a closing for them on Monday. When I got back to my office, I searched the board again to see all comments. Alot of you say they do pay timely, but other issues made them a company not good to work for.

I decided to give them a chance so that I could experience my own ordeal with them. I quoted my fee for Edocs, single loan and lo and behold they advised all they could pay was $75 for edocs. I advised them I could not do it, because my fee was my fee. Guy said he would have to get approval and placed me on hold for LONG time. He finally came back and said all he could get approval for was $85. Told him sorry..For the distance I would have to go to do the signing, no could do.
