RE: to Lily MD from post 1/22/06
Sorry for taking so long to reply! When I speak of "seling a loan I am impartial as possible. I point out where and what it is. Like your getting this much back, this is your interest rate, oh you didn't know it wasn't a fixed rate note, well it won't increase for two years, where it says right here at that time you have no prepayment pentaly which means you can refi. I am aghast that the loan officer never went over this stuff with them. It's simple things and in accordance with Florida law, I can show them where something is at and read it to them verbatim. This is what I mean by selling the loan. Anything further I bite my tongue. Hard to do with a seven year background as a real estate agent and refer them to the loan officer who should have went over all this with them in the first place. One SS, Prime Time Closers wanted me to go further in depth to really sell the loan and I pointed out what I could and could not do. They told me I could do it or they could find another notary that would. To say the least I no longer work for them and have several notary buddies that have also blackballed them. However I encourage all to find out for themselves, their pay was good and prompt.

I'm not Lily, found your post interesting. Looked up the original
You said **>>is still amazing the amount of loans I have to "sell", I'd say probably 2 out of 4. <<
I can see why Lily responded the way she did. I can see why everyone responded the way they did.

I should have made it clearer in my first post, my boo-boo. My bottom line was just I cannot believe the closings I go to where the borrowers were not explained the simplest little things from the L/O. And it takes up so much of my time! No matter how many times I tell them they have a package with same docs I have and they have 3 days to review it. It just seems everybody I get wants to view it at the table even though the first words out of my mouth are "I am an independent contractor not affiliated with any company, your broker or your mortgage company, my only job her today is to witness the signing of the papers and to notarize the ones needing to be notarized" I learned to say that when somebody threw their package at me thinking I was from the mortgage company.
