SS vs TC vs Lender - what to charge?

I need some help - how much can I charge a title company or lender for signings? I have my base of $80 for ss, but know tc can and will pay more - same for a lender. I work primarily on refi's and HELOCs; would there be a difference in the fee for those types of signings as well?

Monique,

TC usually paid $125 & up...so I could charge in that range. Are you busy with signings?

Sorry, been out working all night. Right now it's kind of slow, but I expect it to pick up soon.

I personally do not charge a higher fee just because they are a TC. I think my fees are reasonable and they are the same for all. I don't base my fees on the type of loan either, I base them on the type of delivery and what county the signing is in. I have different fees for different counties.

I'm with you, Lawrence. I have one price sheet. My fees are based on zip codes in my service area and those fees are the same no matter who calls, lender, title or signing service. The job is the same, why would the fee be different?

Variation in fee is based on (1) travel time/distance, (2) expected time at the table and (3) pre- and post-processing time, for edocs, faxbacks, etc.
