Single Doc Signings

I have been contacted recently by two companies for single doc. signings. One is a company which i have done work for before, and they paid reasonably quickly, so i accepted. I didnt even shut off my car for the closing. the other is in my hometown, so i accepted that one as well.

My question is, how many of these do you all accept, what do you usually charge (obviously because its lower).

Just because it is a single document signing, doesn't mean the over all time you spend is less.
The distance and time driving to the location also factors in to the fee you should charge. I sometimes with signings like this charge my standard fee, sometimes maybe $10.00 less if it is close to me.

I had one the other day where a fellow found me on a notary website and emailed me to ask if I could do six notarizations. In Michigan we are allowed to charge a fee of $10 per notarial act, so I charged $60 plus a $10 travel fee since it was only 2 miles from my home. In and out in 15 minutes, a real "point and sign", no explanations, no faxing, no mailing docs back. Wish I'd get more of these.

I accepted one the other day I asked them what the fee being paid was, they said $100! Sometime's I turn it back to them to give me the paying fee to see if they are in my ballpark or not. Of course I did this one!
