The toner saga continues .... question re. 'reset chips'

Technical question: I purchased refill toner for my DELL 1700 and it was easy enough following the instructions to refill the cartridge. It's working fine in the printer, too. The company also provided me with a new reset chip. Only problem, no instructions on how to remove the old one and attach the new one.

You'd think it would just pop off but it doesn't seem to want to.

Does anyone have any experience with this issue? Their tech support left for the weekend before I got into the job.

FWIW, the company shipped very fast and the price was good, $39.95 including the chip, plus uninflated UPS/2nd DAY AIR fees.

I responded to your earlier post about the toner costing only 1/2 of what you paid for here, but didn't hear from you.

The chip is attached to the cartridge with tacky glue/tape. Use a small screw driver and fry (sp) it off b/c there is no electrical connection between the chip & the cartridge.
