Interest rates are starting to stabalize. My thought is people are feeling abit more secure on home buying becasue of that.

Yes, things seem to be picking up. I received 4 calls yesterday. 2 for today and 2 for Friday so far. I hope it keeps picking up!

Yes, I've been picking up too. Thank goodness I don't have all my eggs in one basket, my meat and potatoes company is down to a staff of three with the manager and the best closer out on maternity leave and are doing next to nothing this and last month.

Agreed. Have already done 2 this week, 1 more scheduled for tonight. Who knows what else looms over the horizon :o). Off-topic question: I am going to purchase a HP 1022 laser printer at a very good price. Any thoughts on the quality of this machine?

Howie...
I'm facing either buying a drum or a faster printer. I have an all in one for the fax and phone and economically it seems better to just buy the drum. I don't know about that particular printer, but there's a wealth of info if you do a search on printers....what's the price? Is it available on sale or a 'one' printer shot?

Re: 1022 printer
I don't have experience with the 1022. I looked at it at one time. 1022 - pcl 5e 8 mb memory.
I went with the brother 5140 pcl 6 with 16 mb memory. Have had no problems with the 5140. Can find for $200 +/-

Re: Charm and Shan replies
Shan: I am down in the southeastern corner, email: [e-mail address]. Contact me anytime, looking forward to "shooting the breeze" with a fellow CT notary. Things are beginning to pick up, but I could always use more "action".
Charm: that HP 1022 printer goes for about 180.00 on pricegrabber.com, that is a wonderful website for electronic goods. I have found the HP 1320tn for 300.00 with a 100.00 rebate as well, I think I am just going to go with the 1320, as it seems to get really good reviews on this website, has dual tray (whatever that means) and prints 22ppm. Did a signing last night (at the last minute), had 127 pages, printed out on legal at about 6ppm. Do the math, it took me about 40 minutes to print!!! But, I made it on time, and it's history.

This week I have done 3 loans where the borrower is moving out of a an adjustable rate Heloc into either a 2nd or a complete refinance because of the increasing rate on the Heloc. Business has defenitely picked up.
