I politely tell them to hold and I will get right back to them. Let the other person on the other line know that you are jotting down a closing in your schedule in you'll help them soon. They'll understand and appreciate that you are professional. It's happened to me many times when I call someone to do a closing and I don't mind holding if the person is nice and professional about it.
