Why do title co.'s send blank docs?
Most title companies include a set of junk docs in the package for the borrower to sign that have nothing filled in. No loan #, no borrower name. No options or conditions chosen. They just expect the borrowers to sign them and not worry about why they are blank. What do you tell the borrowers about these blank docs? TIA

In Michigan we are not allowed to let individuals sign documents with blanks in them. So, if I receive junk doc that are blank, I either tell the signers not to sign them, or have them fill in the blanks with N/A or what ever they (the borrower(s)) feel is appropriate.

Question: If the document in question does not have to be notarized and contains blanks does Michigan require that the signing agent not let the borrower sign it? Does Michigan regulate signing agents? Not being a smart a** just curious.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. We can lose our commission if we notarize documents that have blank spaces. At least, that is my understanding of the MCLA regarding notaries.
