Wrong county on Ack - CA
This lender has their county pre-printed on an acknowledgment, is it alright if the signing is done in a different county, or does it have to be crossed off and corrected?

Once you line thru and correct the county, don't forget to add your initials.

The venue is never ever different than where you are at, at the time of signing. You can either correct it or use a loose ack. It has been my personal preference to use a loose ack though not neccesary.
This question shows that you are new and unsure. The way to overcome that is to study, study, study. Get out your manual as these are the very basics of the job. It's not rocket science and doesn't take alot of study to learn the basics. Whenever you have a question first consult your manual. It's an embarasing shame that any notary would not know the answer to this question. I hope it is just newbie nerves. But newbie nerves are no excuse. It's like a kindergarten teacher asking if she should teach the students the alphabet song. Get a few loose acks and jurats out and make a fake journal page and practice notarizations. Then shred them. Like I said not rocket science.
