recording deeds...

don't know what other state laws are, but save yourself some time and 4 phone calls to the TC while you're in the probate judge's office. Yesterday I went to do this for one of my fav TC's located out of town.

They need to know

1, who prepared the instrument?
2. how much is the outstanding mortgage?
3. What is the the amount that the property is worth?

At least here anyway, so it might be a good idea if you call ahead and ask them what they need to record a deed and get the answers before you stand in line Smiley
