Does anyone have experience with timeshare sales?
I am curious about the packages (size and what to expect inside). I'm marketing, and found a TC in my area that specializes in them. I'd like a little more information from a NSA having some experience with them so I can market effectively. TIA, Tia, LOL (j/k) (that is so cute)

Nope, but what a great idea.
I'm going to look into it too... we have a ton of people around here that buy them. I'll let you know what I come up with. LB...A

I did a couple for Hilton Grand Vacations Club (they are located in Orlando, FL). They pay well and timely. The packages are very small maybe 35-40 pages in all, they are divided in two folders with docs requiring notary in one, docs not requiring notary in the other. They wanted all pages with notary, signatures or intials faxed back to them. But, since they pay well that was not a problem. I would work for them again anytime, but they only call when someone in your area purchases a timeshare.

I would probably be dealing with the sellers end, but I am curious as what I might expect to receive as compensation (your experience) by a signing on the buyers end, if you are comfortable in revealing that fee either on forum or via email. Thanks!

Usaully the seller is a Corporation unless they are Timeshare Resales. I think I saw a Florida West coast company that does Timeshare resale advertising over here.

I've done about 10 over the last few years and packages are usually small - less than 50 pages - with one notarization.

I have done a couple. They are small packages and the ones that I have done have been well marked for signatures and notarizations. Great work if you can get it!

Easy and quick. The ones I've done have been about 35 pages and are sent to the borrower. The only difference is the Deed and mortgage show a % of ownership.
I have a Timeshare Transfer Co here in town that flat out refuses to hire Notaries. They ship the docs and tell the borrowers to find their own Notary, period. Not much on customer service, huh?

Would they include your card with the BR's package? Maybe that would drive some business your way? Just a thought. b.

Re: Becca
The company here ships most of the packages out of town. Any in-town deals they get close in their office. I gave the lead to a Florida SS and she got nowhere with them.

Egads, I should say not, Becca. I guess that we should keep marketing ourselves to the public. I sometimes wonder if eventually, many TC's will have the brw find the notary. I am getting (and have been) quite a few calls from brws who are looking for a notary. Only get to charge notarial fees anda travel fee. Unfortunately, these companies are only including 1-5 notarization pages, but at least it's cash up front, the rest of the package is signed. I have been charging an extra $20 if they want me to review the package before they send it back. Only one taker on that, and he had forgotten (or not known) to fill in a few blanks.

I got a call today @ 4:10pm to Notarize a car Title. The guy needed it done today before FedEx deadline so I said if you'll meet me at the IHOP @ 4:45 I can do it, otherwise it will be 6pm and FedEx closes at 6:30. He met me at IHOP& I knocked $10 off of my normal fee. I cleaned the table, ordered a salad to go met with my 5pm borrower and was home by 5:40. A nice quick chunk-o-change to end my pleasant day.

What do you term this service on your website? I'm updating mine and if you don't mind, I'd like to borrow your terminology, since it is working in your favor. BTW, I'm in SWFL, so I am probably not your competition.
