Re: We use...

E-Fax for all our outgoing faxes. We only have one business line as well, and we just use the business line for our outgoing faxes. E-fax WAS free (they assign you a phone number that is long distance) but we quickly exceeded the maximum faxes per month. We bumped it up to the "unlimited, local number" plan, and I think we pay about $12.95. We have had no problems, in fact, I like it better. Before, faxes printed on our Office jet and the ink cartridges are so expensive. Now the e-faxes print on our laser...much more cost effective!

Wish ours was $4.00 per month! But it is still cheaper than another phone line!

Maxemail - just renewed $69 for the year. I use it to receive (local number provided. Still use
my old fax to fax out.

I use K7.net - its free and I have never had any problems receiving faxes. I use my computer fax program or my stand alone fax machine to fax out.

Is there a program for faxing from the PC?

I have always wanted to set my PC up so that I could fax from it. I know there is a way, but I get so frustrated and give up. Maybe it would be easier to buy a program for it. I know I can go to (Windows XP) Start>Accessories>Communications>Fax and click on send a fax, but it never works for me.
