Executive Closing Services and All State Notary Services?

I am having problems collecting payment from Executive Closing Services.....anyone else had this problem? I also picked up on something else...got a call on Monday from All State Notary Services...out of Flordia the same as ECS....when they agreed to the fee of $225.00 without question I got suspicious.....then when I received the confirmation and it was EXACTLY the same as ECS I was even more suspicious. So I called and asked if they were one and the same....after the guy fell around all over himself...he said no...but they both use the same "computer guy" so that is why they both look the same. I passed on the signing at this point because it seemed odd to me. He then offered to pay via PAYPAL....so I said okay....then...when I check the PAYPAL...he paid....but used a e-check that takes up to 7 days to clear and PAYPAL said the account was created "0" days ago...meaning he had just created the account to send me the money. So...I called him back...told him I would pass on the signing becuase of my suspicions and he bacame VERY upset. So I would beware of both of these companies. Anyone else had any dealings with them? I plan on reporting ECS to the BBB.
Thanks
Greg Harrison

Above are links to the Florida Division of Corporations.

Executive used to be in Lake Worth and is now showing Boyton Beach as their addy. All State Notary is a new Corp. established 6/8/06.

Who knows?

Re: Executive Closing Services and All State Notary Services

I just figured somthing else out...I went to the BBB and made a complaint on Executive Closing Services...and it said the owner is DAVID ROBB....the guy that I was talking to from All State Notary Services kept telling me his name is ROBB....his confirmation says that they are located in West Palm Beach, FL. ???? I think it is the same person....I might be wrong...but judging from the conversation we had on the phone..and the way he reacted when I asked him....I would bet money it is one and the same.

Thanks for the heads up. I did one for Exec. 1 1/2 years ago--knowing their rep--and it took almost 60 days to get paid. They met my fee, but wanted a ton of fax backs and when I said i charge for fax backs, all of a sudden, they were not that important.

Again, thanks for the heads up, Greg! You may have saved yourself a headache.

Re: Executive Closing Services and All State Notary Services

I did a closing for them in the beginning of December and by February I was calling and emailing them everyday that I would turn them into collections by March 1st if I didn't get paid. I think they paid me just to get me off their back. I even faxed them the collections agreement that I would be submitting. They paid up and it didn't bounce.

Thanks for the heads up! Bad experiences here with ECS, not just their payment practices.
I wouldn't do another for ECS if my life depended on it, and I know I'm not the only one!
It seems to me that when certain SS get a "reputation" they change their name, and /or "sell" the business (to their spouse, etc.).
I wouldn't want to work for ECS inadvertantly.

Re: Executive Closing Services

I did a job for Executive Closing Services in June and by the 60 day mark in August I finally had to call the Title Company to assist me in getting paid. That worked. I went the extra, extra mile for a late, late night, last minute closing with nightmare faxbacks for this company. Never again. Definitely on my No-No list!

Hi Greg, I have done a signing for Executive Closing Services back in July and I am still waiting on payment. If you find out any information on them please share with me.
