Googling

I have been trying to get info on one of my dead beat SSs and I'm not having much luck. They do not seem to be listed on the Sec of the Commonwealth's web site, but they are in D&B. I really don't want to pay D&B, so how would ya'll suggest I get the names of the owners/president?

Do a google search of their phone #. Do you know what state they are in? If you do search that states department of corporations. OR post does any one have contact info for SoandSo SS?

Sometimes you can find this info by doing a WhoIs search on the domain name.

Or try your state's registrar of DBAs (business names).

WhoIs cloaking is more and more common.

For example, my Web Site ownership is cloaked now because I got too weary of spam.

If they are already a deadbeat in your book, why not list their name. I'd bet you'll get a faster answer here than trying to google/search.
