Harry, please do something ASAP
Harry, I know you are well aware of the problem with the board postings so I won't say anymore than with all due respect please do something ASAP to return this board to its former glory.

David, please consider using the "contact us" link
By continuing to post about the problem only seems to propogate it. I think offended parties should contact the moderator via his link. Posting this here only seems to keep re-opening a can of worms. JMHO.

Re: David asking Harry who gave us this forum is
a little weak in my opinion. That reminds me of the mentality that one person has to govern the masses when the masses get out of line. I am more of a fan of governing thy self. We are all adults here. The fact that in your opinion this board is out of control is not Harry's problem it is the problem of those who want to disrupt. Either you can feed into it or take the high road and stay on the subject of which this forum was created. Sooner or later when the tone is set, things may go back to as you say "its former glory".
Harry is not a babysitter. For that matter it may crack the very foundation that Harry had intended in the beginning to become a babysitter of common sense, decorum, opinion and integrity. Let’s face it, not all were taught it or possess it or choose to care to follow the forum rules already set.
It is the responsibility of all who post to use common sense. I would rather not have my privilege taken away because a few bad anons get spanked. The next thing would be that the best notary forum on the web will have to close because Harry can't baby-sit us all. Come on!
I have posted off topic. I have posted just venting because the only place I have found a common voice of the joys and sometimes disappointments of the job is here. A kind word or a slap on the hand.... whatever! I am a big girl. I am wise enough to know advice when I read it; I am wise enough to enjoy the difference in opinion and sometimes comical and very entertaining posts of some of the longer and respected written voices here. Sometimes I don't post at all. I just read and my answers are met. Sometimes I find myself looking for an answer and I get immersed in an OT subject that just plain made me laugh and brightened my day. Sometimes an anon that annoys gets on and I can't resist the urge to PONTIFICATE! LOL!
I guess what I am saying is...what Harry created in the beginning does not need to be altered or babysat. We just need to remind ourselves from time to time not to get caught up in the crap, but to appreciate what a wonderful site he does have and conduct ourselves in a manner that exemplifies it.
And as always...this is just my humble opinon:-)

Re:Well said JanelWI, I enjoy NotRot, my hubby thinks I'm
addicted to it and I don't think I'm on all that much.....it is often a wealth of information and a bundle of laughs that may be very well needed that day, or great place to help a four legged friend in crisis.....Thank Harry for the board.......It serves many purposes for all types and we don't all want and need the same thing, so many personalities...it's great melting pot....for each and everyone of us from the east coast to the west coast and all the in between.

Although I am no longer engaged in Real Estate, I still lurk the RealTalk forum. IMHO I think one if not the best boards in the industry and I consider this forum in that class. Even though all of these forums are usually subject specific, I think of them as sort of flea markets, where one can stroll/scroll among the items/threads and choose to linger or not. You may not think *flea market* is appropriate, but consider that we all bring SOMETHING to this table to share, and somewhere, somebody will benifit. Yes, it is addictive, because you never know what you'll find, some tidbit of knowledge, advise, some comment that will make your day/Your find. Just my 2cents of course.
