Help just starting out

I'm just starting out and I need some guidiance as to what to do. I did my first signing last week and I'm wondering what can I do to get more signings. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

To get you going - read message #33325 and all the other threads attached. Your Signing Agent business is like any other business - do your research, study, market and be proficient and professional while performing your Signing Agent services.

Side note: A good idea is to always follow up 48 hours after a signing to confirm with the company they received the package and everything was fine with your services. Then, as another added marketing tool - send a thank you card or small appreciation gift a month later.

All great suggestions so far!

I'd like to add one note of caution ......... I know there has been advertising done in the past saying that you can "earn a 6 figure income" as a signing agent.

7 to 10 years ago, that MIGHT have been possible.

Now, it's pretty clear that a signing agent / notary business might be good part time occupation, or as a second (or third) business in your diverse office.

But most of all three things I have found to always be true :

* Hard work is always better than cheap excuses

* Pay attention to what the successful do, and do the same. Also pay attention to what the failures do, and try to avoid that!!

* Being honest, earnest and doing your absolute best work will never get you into trouble worth being upset about.

Remember, you need spend money to make money. Start to be a premier member in this web site ( if you are not ready one), then sign up with more signing service possible, just forget about SOX.
