Ever heard of the TraceRT command in Windows? Its one of many commands in the TCP/IP stack. Its a nifty little command that allows a savvy mofo like me to Trace the hops via every router from my machine, to yours. I have a GUI util called NeoTrace that creates a pictoral map showing me exactly where in the state you are also. So, I ask you do you still think I wont find out where you are if not who? Trace route 'TraceRT' is a very simplistic tool exposing a mere layer of IP (connection-less
layer 3 of OSI model), actually just a glorified 'ping'.
In fact, Ping is more robust with IPv6...validated by one of the many sites on DTI Looking Glass to resolve the routing reference, which will give you much more detail than any software depicting route servers overlayed on a map.

Now take all this data, sprinkle it with salt, and toss it over your left shoulder for good luck...cause it doesn't tell you squat.

Ahhh..you say...but this is where TCP, a connection-oriented design ( Layer 4 of OSI model ) comes in to play. We can wrap IP with TCP for an acknowledged reliable conversation based
on SYN-SYN / ACK-ACK handshake between source and destination.

HA!..I say! Just as it is a simple task to mask the source in the IP header ( bytes 13 - 20 ), it also is a simple task to take advantage of 'sequence prediction' to spoof the first 12 bytes in a TCP header packet.

Do a quick search on IP Spoofing, or Session hijacking, or Host Impersonation, and become the "savvy mofo" you claim.

That is a difficult question, Jahari, I agree. It would take me *many times* as well to answer that question. It would require out-of-the-box thinking, for sure - the kind of thinking that isn't idiotic, venomous, spiteful, stoggy (is that a word?), divisive, empty, lackluster, and void of thought.

Brenda and I have an understanding about this very matter....as long as I remember that it is "all about Brenda" all the time, we can be friends. But never am I to contemplate being like Brenda. It's unthinkable.

This comes second however, to extending olive branches and kicking sand in peoples faces. Ahhh...there is nothing like being a card carrying member of the "Go-Along Gang"(heretofore known as GAG). This translates to not always being in agreement with everyone on everything, therefore you are "going-along" with someone else...and if you disagree with someone else, then you will be damned and labeled as a card carrying member of the "Other-Go-Along gang"(heretofore known as O'GAG). Now certain posts will make you want to GAG, while your response to others will simply be O'GAG.

Wait a sec, did TitleGirl's post say that she thought she had done something wrong? Or did she simply ask if there was anything else she could have done aside from what she did? Why I do believe it was the latter. Too bad your "deep" level of thought is unable to comprehend the difference between the two.

But on the plus side, you never have to worry about drowning in your own thoughts because that deep end is still pretty shallow.
