Just Curious...Nancy Notary...

I was told last night that much of what is posted at her site is cut/paste info from NotRot. I have not perused her site except the one time I wanted to see if Nancy Notary really was bashing the people here and their advise because she was creating her own version of NotRot.

That was some time ago.

After I heard that the info was being ripped from NotRot, I looked at the front door of the forum last night and saw that there are 20 members and 540 posts on the site. That means 20 people have made 27 posts. That's a lot of posting unless you are really prolific...like some of *us* are here. It sounds like what I have been told could be true.

If any of you are visiting there, did they rip from the original content of #33325? If so, that really ticks me off. If not, what have they ripped?

I am not saying they are, or that they are not, I do not know...I am asking and did not mention any names so if you are a part of that group and write me about it, I will not respond. I just don't want to have anything I have written snatched from NotRot without credit to NOTROT and to me.

Also, you can email me if you do not want to post it. Just let me know if they are using anything I have written to build content for their site, if you know that's going on. Furthermore, I said "advise" above...shd be "advice."

And, yes, I could look myself but prefer not to because they are able to see IPs who view the site...I am pretty clear that there are not many from College Station, Texas viewing these forums. I don't care how many times Harry *sees* me viewing Notrot, but Nancy Notary...I do care as I they have been clear they think I have ulterior motives.

then you know that I am one of the 20 members. Let me make it clear that I was not promised riches, fame or glory. I wasn't even contacted by e-mail or other means to sign up. I didn't even know the forum was in existence UNTIL about three weeks ago when I read about it right here in the rather lengthy thread. I think there was even one post that with all the postings in the thread, it was going to make people curious to look at the site.

There may be 20 members, but your calculations for each of us posting 27 posts are off. There are many of us, including myself, that haven't posted a single post.

I am registered with many sites -- am a I traitor?--far from it.

Carolyn, that just lends more credence to what Brenda is saying. That most of the posts aren't members having a conversation, it's information that was lifted from here and pasted onto the forum there. And no, I don't think any of us think it makes you a traitor. We just choose to have nothing to do with a site that was apparently created in such a manner.

Nancy Notary and hubby have been blocked from NotRot

So, I don't think you're going to get a response. We've corresponded (in a friendly way) several times and she's tried to explain what happened. She has regrets about how things happened and how things have been interpreted (she sounds like a kind person who means well, but I still have my opinion based on what I've seen over the last few months). That's about all I can say, the rest was in confidence. I haven't spent more than 20 seconds on her site, but if the cut/paste scenario is true, that's just one more disappointment.

Like I said, I still have my opinion. I don't think she's the evil spawn of Satan (never really did), and I appreciated her explanation. But, as I told her, I've never been more disappointed in something I've seen here. I think she's a kind person, but kind people can make poor decisions.
